Battery producer Munja has invested in new equipment with commitment to high productivity and top quality of the products.
Manufacturing process starts with gravity casting grids from lead alloy, on the world famous producer Wirtz (USA) machinery. It is the casting machine of a high productivity, and the grids are of the excellent and stable characteristics. The grids retain their characteristics in a wide range of temperatures (-40 to +75°C), and thus retain the electrode mechanical hardness with high resistance on vibrations.
One of the most important components of the battery quality is leady oxide powder production – we have equipment from well known world producer of the ball mils – Sovema.
Leady oxide is transfered automaticly to a automatic mixer Eirich silo, which ensures the homogenus paste production in a controled conditions. Pasting machine Sovema ensures pressure pasting from both sides of the grid, and thus having a plate completely covered with paste with excellent characteristics.
In curing chambers, we control the parameters of temperature, humidity and air flow.
On assembling line, we starts the assembling of the individual parts into a final product. Electrodes are separated with high quality microporous separator on TEKMAX machine.
Electrodes are assembling with the lead connector on a COS machine.
Battery cells are assembled in electric circuit on intercell welding machine. At the end of the line, thermicly and under the pressure we connect cover with the container of the battery. Then we check the tightness of the cover – container bond.
Batteries are going to the formation section, where we fill them with acid, then put into a water tank, connect with the power source and then formation process takes place with the adequate mode for that type.
After formation, if necessary, we add acid, close the containers with plugs and then washed with water in the case of the remaining acid on the container.
Final shock tester control.
